Homeopathy

Homeopathy treats each person as a unique individual with the aim of stimulating their own natural healing ability. A homeopath selects the most appropriate medicine based on the individual’s specific symptoms and personal level of health.

Homeopathy is a gentle and non-invasive system of medicine that assists your body’s natural ability to restore itself to health. It has been successfully used by people throughout the world for over 200 years.

Developed by Samuel Hahnemann, a German doctor and chemist, homeopathy is based on the principle that a substance, which in large doses will cause the symptoms of illness, can in minute doses, be used to relieve the same symptoms – ‘like cures like’.
Patients experiencing a whole range of conditions can find homeopathy beneficial, and many people feel that homeopathy helps them to cope with, and adapt to, life’s various challenges. Homeopathy can also help to reduce the chance of us slipping back into old and familiar patterns of ill health.

The Homeopathic approach is holistic, focussing on the whole person rather than the symptoms or named condition and is equally successful for people of all ages from babies and children to adults, including women during pregnancy.

In a consultation a homeopath will ask detailed questions to build a complete picture of the patient and how they are responding to their symptoms. This can include a medical history and more day to day things such as sleep patterns, responses to stress, emotional states, dreams and diet. From this information, the homeopath will be able to choose a medicine or remedy that best matches the unique pattern of symptoms from the 1000’s of remedies that are available.

Homeopathy, when prescribed appropriately is safe, non-toxic and non-addictive.
