Emma’s approach to massage is deeply intuitive, drawing on a wide range of techniques — from deep tissue work, using her forearms to lean into the body, to lighter effleurage and energy healing. She takes time to listen carefully to each client, understanding what works best for them and how they want to feel.

Emma believes that warmth, touch, and nurturance are essential parts of human wellbeing. As social beings, we all need touch. Her journey into massage began from a personal place — as a young person, she longed for the safety and comfort of being held and nurtured. Massage provided that safe, restorative space, and inspired her to help others find the same sense of peace and connection.

Emma’s professional background began in Person-Centred Counselling, which she started training in back in 1995. She went on to volunteer as a counsellor for Off the Record in Bradford for several years. Her passion for psychotherapeutic healing led her to recognise how emotional pain and stored memories can often become held within the body. This realisation inspired her move into bodywork, and she completed her formal massage training in 1999. Since then, she has continued to develop her skills through ongoing personal and professional growth in both bodywork and psychotherapy.

Emma works with clients from all walks of life. Some come seeking a relaxing massage or structural release; others see regular massage as an essential part of their wellbeing routine, helping them to manage stress from work, family life, or mental health challenges such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or clinical depression. She also supports clients with physical conditions including back problems (such as kyphosis, scoliosis, and spinal fusion), nerve damage, stroke recovery, and chronic conditions like ME or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

Whatever the reason for seeking treatment, Emma’s goal is always the same — to offer a bespoke, compassionate, and nurturing experience, creating a safe space for clients to relax, release, and restore balance in both body and mind.
