With a BSc (Hons) in Behavioural Sciences — combining sociology, psychology, and human development — Janey brings an informed and compassionate approach to supporting health and wellbeing.

Qualifying as a Reflexologist in 1999, she began her therapy career as co-founder of Bodywork, a successful practice in Hebden Bridge, where she worked for six years. Since then, Janey has worked across a variety of settings, expanding her practice to include Reiki, Electrolysed Reduced Molecular Hydrogen Water, and premium nutritional support through Live Good.

Her life and career have been enriched by extensive global travel, including three years living in India. While working at Bamboo Yoga Retreat in South Goa, she offered therapies that complemented the retreat’s restorative experience — this work included a barefoot commute along the shoreline that she still misses.

One of the most meaningful chapters of Janey’s career was representing Reflexology Outreach International, where she taught Reflexology as a supportive tool for those working with individuals living with HIV/AIDS across Uganda.

For the past two decades, Janey has focused on supporting individuals facing addiction and recovery challenges. Beginning in the NHS in 2004, she offered Reflexology, Reiki, Auricular Acupuncture, and Black Box therapy as part of an integrated substance misuse and recovery pathway. Her training included a six-month course and placement at City Roads in London, a pioneering self-referral detox and crisis intervention centre. She describes as one of the most rewarding experiences of her professional life.

Through Reflexology and recovery work, Janey has had the privilege of supporting people from all walks of life. She has seen first-hand the profound and positive impact of complementary therapies, enhanced when combined with simple lifestyle adjustments.

Her approach is grounded in the understanding that Reflexology works on all levels — physical, emotional, and energetic. This is in no small part to Reflexology’s super power – creating mental space and calm, relieving the stress and overwhelm from the pressures of modern life.

A long-standing advocate for holistic health, Janey is passionate about the body’s innate ability to heal given the right circumstances. Her practice, “Revive n Thrive,” reflects both her professional training and lived experience. She continues to explore innovative ways to support wellbeing, including the introduction of Electrolysed Water (ERW) Protocols — a powerful, science-backed wellness approach. ERW enhances hydration, supports detoxification, reduces oxidative stress and provides preventative celular health benefits, with these benefits increasingly validated by global research on molecular hydrogen. “Change your water, change your life.”

Janey’s philosophy is that many of today’s struggles stem from disconnection — from ourselves, from others, and from our place in nature. Whether supporting someone in recovery or guiding clients through physical and emotional challenges, her aim is to create a safe, nurturing space where individuals can rest and reset— thus empowering them to move forward with increased balance, resilience and connection.

Janey is proud to be part of the multidisciplinary team at Physio and Therapies, where each person is supported in finding the most beneficial therapeutic approach for their unique needs.
